If you think of a tropical paradise names such as Hawaii, Tahiti and Fiji come to mind. Fiji is my personal favorite. Booking a Fiji package holiday is my preferred option when vacationing in Fiji.

Fiji offers you warm tropical nights for that romantic stroll along the beach, or crystal clear waters for some snorkeling with the kids. Maybe you fancy a round of golf or some fishing. Fiji has it all. If you want to get away from the beach you will discover in Fiji some spectacular rainforests to trek through. Fiji is also a romantic destination perfect for a Fiji holiday.

Fiji is 10.5 hours flight from mainland USA and three hours off the east coast of Australia. Tourists can fly into Nadi International airport located 10 kilometers (6 miles) from Nadi Town. Nadi is the gateway to paradise and the starting point for your Fiji package holiday.

Fiji has many resorts and hotels to cater for tourists on any budget. One of the most popular locations is the Coral Coast which is a short bus ride from Nadi. The coast is home to many top class resorts including Warwick Fiji Resort & Spa, Outrigger on the Lagoon and the Shangri-La's Fijian.

If you are looking for a true Fiji adventure you may look to visit the Yasawa Islands. Here you will find beautiful palm fringed beaches and crystal clear waters. This is what tropical paradise is all about. The Yasawa Island group consists of a chain of 20 islands. The further you go from Nadi, the more traditional the islands become. On the Yasawa chain you will see that it is home to many small traditional fishing villages with thatch homes. If you travel from Nadi by sea on a fast catamaran you can go to the furthest Yasawa island in around 2 hours.

Check with your resort to see if there is a courtesy bus transfer from the airport. If not you can take advantage of the Nadi Airport Shared Arrival Transfer. Prices start from around USD $20.00 per person. The service can transfer you to your Nadi City, Port Denarau, Coral Coast, Sonaisali or Lautoka hotel and is available 24 hours a day except on public holidays.

We are coming up to what I consider to be the best time to visit Fiji. October and November provide lovely warm waters (around 30 degrees C) and great visibility. If you visit at this time of year you will certainly enjoy snorkeling or diving amongst the spectacular variety of tropical fish.
