You Will Never Get Bored While In Fiji

Fiji is a rather exotic vacation destination, one that few people know very much about. Sure, you can spend your time lying on the beach, or doing other beach related activities, but if you are not interested in that sort of thing, you may be surprised to find out just how many fun things there are here to do. If you haven’t considered traveling to Fiji on your vacation, maybe you will change your mind after reading this article.

For the person who loves outdoor activities, there is always something to do. One of the more popular ways people spend their time while in Fiji is sailing. If you are so inclined, you can charter your own sailboat, for up to seven nights, and venture out on your own, or for the inexperienced, take part in a guided tour. On the tour, you will get to visit many of the quaint villages scattered throughout the islands, where you can shop for local crafts and souvenirs, and learn about the native culture of the island. If you visit Yasawa Islands on your tour, you will even get to spend time walking around on the beautiful beach, or just lying around working on your tan, whichever you prefer.

Another great outside activity that many people enjoy is golfing, and there are many great places in Fiji to golf, as well as enjoy the beautiful scenery that nature has provided. Many golf tournaments are held in Fiji each year. There are several courses at your disposal, maybe you can visit them all while you are here: Shangri-la Resort, Naviti Resort, Wakaya Club, Fijian Resort, Naigani Resort, and Toberua Resort all offer great courses for all levels of players.

If you are an experienced surfer, or have always wanted to try, you have plenty of ocean available to you in Fiji. There are certain places that are not suitable for beginning surfers, such as Namotu Left and Cloud Break, which can prove challenging even for professionals. If you are looking for a great place to try out your surfing skills, you might want to check out Tavarua, or even Seashell Cove. Out of all the surfing places listed, Seashell Cove will be the best on your budget, leaving you more money for other things on your trip.

Diving is also a very popular pastime in Fiji as well. There are many great coral reefs to explore, and plenty of interesting marine life to observe and study, including sharks, manta rays, many species of exotic fish, and of course, dolphins. The visibility is great here thanks to the crystal clear ocean waters, which is one reason the area is so popular with divers from all over the world.

As always, there are many museums and historical sites to visit as well, and many hiking trails to explore along the way. The island of Fiji is chock full of all the beauty that nature has to offer, you just have to know how to take advantage of it.
